| Plates are adhered to metal cylinders and clamped into the press. Each plate picks up it's specific ink color from an inkwell anilox roller and then lays a perfect coat of ink on the chosen substrate. The ink is cured, overlaminated or varnished and then the labels are cut by a die cylinder. The pressman puts this all together to job specs and makes sure that it stays together. Labels wind onto large rolls or in piles of sheets at the end of the press. From this point the labels are moved to the finishing station. ---> |
